Our Great Grandfather was an engineer for the Bavarian State Railway. He operated famous steam locomotives like the Gt2x4/4 which later became the BR 96 Class Mallet and S3/6 which became the BR 18. Our grandfather worked for the Deutsche Reichsbahn from 1925 till 1945. After WWII he worked for the Deutsche Bundesbahn from 1945 until 1972 when he retired. Because of our family history and because this is our hobby as well as our business, we can offer our customers expert opinion, knowledge, advice and information for all their European railroad needs. Bang up-to-date: the retro Beetle is a real winner

Model enthusiasts have been waiting for this special vehicle for a very long time: now, for the first time, WIKING has created a model of the Metz B32 fire truck as a fully functioning precision model in 1:87. WIKING’s significant investment in the new moulds required has definitely paid off which is clear to see from the intricate detailing on the body, not least the telescopic turntable and rescue cage. The new models on offer include a limited edition contemporary themed set of DKW vehicles that looks back at the everyday suitability of the Universal and the Junior as speedy urban delivery vehicles. Car enthusiasts will be delighted with the new bang up-to-date models which will be available in specialist shops in October. These include the Beetle based on the original model which has just gone into series production at VW along with the new VW Passat as a police vehicle in the silver and blue livery which has since become mandatory. The Ford Escort Mark I as a proven youngtimer will appeal to fans of vehicles from the 1970s. The first Escort series in automotive history was given the name “dogbone” on account of the shape of the radiator grille. Alongside this is the classic VW T2 flatbed truck which makes an appearance for the first time with a tarpaulin created using new moulds. The Hanomag truck with dumper trailer, the VW Beetle as a patrol car and the American International Harvester flatbed truck complete the wide variety of multi-faceted new vehicles on offer.

’64 Ford Mustang really deserves to be called a WIKING classic

Two new 1:87 classics represent an important step towards the attainment of milestones in WIKING’s history: the ’64 Ford Mustang and the Glas 1700 GT cabriolet will fulfil the long-cherished desires of collectors just in time for Christmas! These are joined by the Borgward B611 with its intricately detailed interior in the form of a prison van and the Opel Kapitän as a police patrol car. Other newcomers to the range include the TES Unimog U1700 along with the VW Caddy serving the Berlin Fire Service as well as the MB L 408 in the service of the Zippert haulage company and the LP 2223 heavy freight truck of
crane specialist Rosenkranz. In 1:32,
the Fliegl ASW288 dumper truck demonstrates real precision quality and simulates the process of unloading in exactly the same way as the original vehicle. Ballast weights for the Claas Xerion also produced in 1:32 mark another addition to the die-cast range. And to mark the occasion of the 75th anniversary of WIKING-Modellbau, there is the 192-page book entitled“WIKING worlds – Model vehicles created with passion for collectors”. Numerous stories, interviews and more than 350 photographs provideepreviously
unseen insights into the company’s activities as well as the lives of the model-makers and collectors.

SIKU NEWS

On September 2011 SIKU has release new models of 1/87 and 1/50 scale and new SIKU-CONTROL32.
 For all 1:87 scale fans!

Refreshingly different: The newest Mercedes Actros truck and trailer with low loader and removable sports airplane (item 1866) is ready for any game manoeuvre! In the air or on the road, this is the ideal combination for your toy scene.
The Fendt 939 on duals in the new and striking Black Beauty lacquer work looks fantastic (item 1862). The coupled 8-blade plough rounds off this model!
The tower crane from Liebherr is at home on almost every construction side worldwide. The tower crane (item 1899) to 1:87 scale is standard construction equipment that can now be employed at home on the kids’ construction site. The metal and plastic model with dimensions 40 cm height and almost 30-cm folding arm is a fantastic addition to the playroom.

The new SIKU world of play to 1:50 scale

The halfpipe tipper truck (item 3539) is the fast route to transport cement to the construction site. 3539). The 1:50 model with Liebherr body is fitted on a 3-axle chassis with Mercedes-Actros driver’s cabin – this model can easily do the job!
The job of the brand-new car transporter (item 3934) is just as important. This model can transport up to eight SIKU private cars to their destination. The option to fully lower the rear section of the top platform means trucks and tractors from the SUPER50 and FARMER50 series can also be transported, for instance, the new New Holland T9.560 scraper tractor (item 1983): The original 560 HP version is a sturdy, reasonably priced and appealing toy with perfect dimensions for the kids to play with.

Fantastic brand-new SIKU FARMER32 models

The Delta combine harvester from Massey-Ferguson (item 4257) has the latest hybrid technology and this mighty SIKU model can take charge at harvest time. Mainly produced in die-cast metal, this model has multiple functions. For instance, the cutting unit is height-adjustable and removable. For road transport, the cutting unit can be loaded onto the matching trailer and coupled to the combine harvester.
The Case Magnum 380 (item 3277) makes its debut for the new Case large tractors in the high-performance agricultural models range. SIKU now produces this mighty, but beautifully crafted original to 1:32 scale as an authentic toy model.

SIKU CONTROL32 highlight: Fully remote-controlled Fendt with frontloader

High-end Fendt 939 model with electronically controlled frontloader . Radio remote-controlled tractor from the SIKU Control series produced to 1:32 scale and made of die-cast metal. Proportionate steering and speed as well as servo-powered rear coupling system. The shovel and frontloader rocker arm are individually powered by two servos. The frontloader rocker arm is fitted with a manual quick release system. The driving and works light on the cabin roof have white LEDs and also red LED rear lights. With indicator functionality and separate right- and left-hand steering. Universal lighting system with orange LEDs can be individually switched on and off. Model supplied with remote control, battery charger and network component.

New beginner class in the SIKU CONTROL32 world

In September, brand-new tractor models are available in the SIKU CONTROL32 series. These are the successors to existing infrared models. The latest innovation is that existing radio components are also equipped to function with the 2.4 GHz wavelength.
